„..Mert ez a tűz nem melegít, éget - egyszerre tisztító és pusztító. A külvárosi legenda feltámad, hogy porba hulljon ismét; bár ez is „csak” egy történet, de nem mese a fele se. E hamisítatlanul molnári, nem-klasszikus szerelmi drámában megadatott a legtöbb, ami egy szerelemben megadathat: a szerelem maga. Ám ez nemhogy épp elég, hanem olykor túl sok is. És ha tetszik, ha nem, még Liliomnak is szembe kell nézni a kegyetlen ténnyel, hogy néha szembe kell néznünk önmagunkkal. Kiállható ez a próba?...
