A hazánkban élő délszláv nemzetiségek, elsősorban a szerbek és horvátok változatos és gazdag népzenei hagyományának ápolását tűzte ki céljául az országosan ismert és népszerű, de határainkon túl is sikeresen koncertező "Vujicsics Együttes". Munkásságukat 2014-ben Kossuth-díjjal jutalmazták.
Az együttes 1974 tavaszán alakult, névadója a tragikusan elhunyt zeneszerző és népzenekutató, Vujicsics Tihamér (1929-1975). Pomázi tanítványai és követői Vujicsics néven szerveződtek együttessé a Budapest környéki települések - Szentendre, Pomáz, Csobánka, Budakalász - szerb népzenei hagyományainak ápolására.
A fesztivál alkalmával csatlakozik hozzájuk Szörényi Levente, Kossuth-díjas és Erkel Ferenc-díjas zeneszerző, gitáros, énekes, szövegíró. A Mediterrán, a Balassa, az Illés, a KITT-egylet és a Fonográf zenekarok egykori tagja. Illés Lajossal és a Tolcsvay fivérek zenekarával együtt, nevéhez fűződik a Kárpát-medence népzenéjének és a modern beat-/rockzenének a házasítása. Ezáltal sokat köszönhet a munkásságának a népzene népszerűsítésének ügye.

For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
