Amikor Émile Ajar Előttem az élet című regénye megjelent 1977-ben Magyarországon, egy pillanat alatt kultuszkönyvvé vált, mert a szabadság levegőjét hozta be hozzánk a merész humorú arab utcakölök életének történetével. A tizenegy éves, kis Momo elbeszéli a hajdani örömlány, Rosa mama, a színesbőrű traveszti, Lola asszony és az eltűntnek hitt, börtönviselt arab apa sorsát.
Bemutató: 2014. május 28.
Momo szerepét 2014. október 21-én, két héttel hirtelen bekövetkezett halála előtt játszotta utoljára Margitai Ági, akinek mindig megújulásra képes tehetsége, szakmai alázata, varázslatos nőiessége és kifogyhatatlan energiái csaknem hatvan éven át szolgálták a közönséget.
Az előadást 2015. szeptemberétől az ő emlékének szentelve újra játsszuk, szerepét Nagy Mari, a Nemzeti Színház művésze veszi át. Juszuf szerepében Rajhona Ádám helyett pedig Jordán Tamást láthatják.

The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes. The piano afternoons and matinees are for them, about them, and inspired by them.
