A c-moll hangnem uralja majd a programot, míg a koncert főszereplője Ránki Dezső lesz, aki két zongoraversenyt is el fog játszani Keller András és együttese, a Concerto Budapest kíséretével. A koncertet mindazonáltal egy eredetileg vonósnégyesre komponált mű vonószenekari megszólaltatása nyitja majd: a c-moll adagio és fúga. „Rövid Adagio két hegedűre, brácsára és nagybőgőre, ahhoz a fúgához, amit már régen írtam két zongorára” – 1788 nyarán ezekkel a szavakkal vezette be műjegyzékébe e kétrészes kompozíciót Mozart, aki öt esztendővel korábban nagy ambícióval alkotta meg a régi „tudós stílus”-nak megfelelő fúgát. A kétszeres Kossuth-, valamint Liszt- és Prima Primissima-díjas Kiváló Művész, Ránki Dezső a sötét tónusú, No. 24-es Mozart-zongoraverseny nyomában a c-moll hangnem iránt különös előszeretetet tanúsító Beethoven versenyművét játssza majd: a két kompozíció kapcsolatát, vagyis a Beethoven-koncertben felbukkanó Mozart-emlékeket élményszerűvé téve.
