Magyar Kincsek: SZOKOLAY / BARTÓK / FARAGÓ BÉLA / LISZT ( Concerto Budapest )
A 19. század közepétől 1990-ig ível a Rácz Zoltán által szavatolt igényességű koncert programja, amelynek első száma egy diplomamunka: Szokolay Sándor ugyanis 1957-ben a Hegedűversenyével diplomázott. A Szokolay legelső zeneszerzői korszakának lezárultát reprezentáló versenymű szólistája a zenekar sokszoros versenygyőztes, fiatal koncertmestere, Miranda Liu lesz.

A koncert következő száma a múlt század nagy magyar hegedűsét, Szigeti Józsefet idézi meg, hiszen Bartók neki ajánlotta I. rapszódiáját, amelynek zenei anyagában tordai és temesi gyűjtésű táncdallam egyaránt ott rejlik. Faragó Béla éppen harminc esztendeje komponált Janus Pannonius-kantátájának nyomában azután Liszt Ferenc I. Mefisztó keringője újra csak egy hegedűs alakját körvonalazza majd. Igaz, ez a boszorkányos hegedűs maga az ördög lesz: a zeneszerző képzeletét alkotásra sarkalló Nikolaus Lenau Faustja ugyanis épp a boszorkányos hegedűs képében megjelenő Mefisztó közreműködésével készül elcsábítani egy menyecskét.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English.
