A K.V. Társulat előadása Elzbieta Chowaniec lengyel drámaírónő műve alapján készült. A Gardénia egy részleges családtörténet: négy generációnyi nő drámája, közülük a legidősebb 1920-ban, lánya 1942-ben, az ő lánya 1962-ben, a legfiatalabb pedig 1982-ben született. Mind a négy nő keresi a boldogsághoz vezető utat. Miközben végigélik a huszadik század szinte teljes történetét, összetett viszonyaikra is fény derül, anya és lánya, nagyanya és unokája, dédanya és dédunokája között, ahogy elérünk a mába. Az írónő nagyon pontosan tárja elénk a generációk közötti kommunikáció nehézségeit, leszámol minden romantikus képzettel a nőkről. Az egész darabot sajátos, metszően ironikus női humor ugyanakkor mélyről fakadó szeretet hatja át.

Our offer

Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.

As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
