Tárgyát a hagyományban felhalmozott mélyemlékezetben keresi, és ebben a forrásban feltűnő, hogy mennyire nem kételkedik egy pillanatra sem, fejest ugrik belé, ficánkol benne. Mátyás király, léha udvaroncok, az Igazságon élősködő ravasz és hatalomvágyó Hamisság, a kőkertbe zárt liliom öröme, az Igazság ritka trónolása… mind útjába kerül. A tömör képek, eleven hasonlatok, súlyos metaforák a mese műfajt a filozófia partjaira sodorják. Ott határos vele, ahol a színek nem fakulnak, a jó kedv nem lohad, az életerő ernyedetlen és játék a létezés.
