Gerendás Péter nevét már egy ország ismeri, hiszen olyan énekeseknek írt dalokat, mint Zorán és Konz Zsuzsa, vagy éppen az első Eurovíziós dalfesztiválon éneklő Friderikának. Több mint 10 lemeze jelent meg, mindig más és más stílusban. Született lemez Vámos Miklós Apák könyve című művéből és Faludy versekből is, de készített lemezt a holokauszt áldozatainak is. Munkásságát Liszt Ferenc, Huszka Jenő, és Budapestért-díjakkal valamint a Magyar köztársaság Érdemrendjével jutalmazták.
