Francois Pignon érdekes ember, mondhatni furcsa, egyesek szerint kifejezetten lökött. Hétköznapi munkája mellett, előszeretettel készíti el nevezetes épületek makettjeit gyufaszálakból. Pierre Brochnant számára viszont Francois igazi kincs, ráadásul tökéletes választás a szerda esti vacsorapartihoz. Az összejövetel érdekessége, hogy minden meghívottnak magával kell hoznia egy dilis, szórakoztató alakot és akinek a legviccesebbet sikerül felmutatnia, jutalomban részesül. Ám az este váratlan fordulatokat hoz és hamarosan minden a feje tetejére áll. Elviharzó feleség, a semmiből felbukkanó szerető, egy váratlan vendég, egy bénító derékfájás és félreértés félreértés hátán…
De vajon ki lesz ma este az igazi Balfácán?

Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life.
