Két angol úriember érkezik egy spanyol villába. Egyikük a nejével, Fay-jel, a másik, az idősödő sorozatszínész Howard pedig a nála húsz évvel fiatalabb Dodie-val. A párok mindössze egy kellemes hosszú hétvégét szeretnének eltölteni főnökük üresnek hitt, dél-spanyol tengerparton fekvő fényűző nyaralójában, ahol ráadásként még Raynor nyomozó és Kutya, a gengszter is felbukkan. A furcsa párok furcsa találkozásához három teljesen egyforma, ámde merőben más tartalmú táska szolgáltatja a végleges, de annál inkább humoros szituációk sorozatát.

As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes. The piano afternoons and matinees are for them, about them, and inspired by them.
