Ha ma élne, gimis volna, amikor az első verse megjelenik, s még nem lenne diplomája, mikor meghal. Fiatalabb volt, mint Kurt Cobain vagy Jimi Hendrix. Senki nem értette, hogy tűnt el a Segesvár melletti csatatérről. Azóta keressük, hogy hol lehet. Van, aki a testét keresi, a maradványait, van, aki a lelkét. Az Én vagyok én a személyiségét akarja megtalálni, hogy hogyan gondolkodott a magyar irodalom máig koronázatlan királya az utolsó hónapokban, napokban. Miért áll közel hozzánk néha idegesítő, néha megrendítően ügyetlen alakja. S közben kiderül az is, hogy miként gondolkodott szerelemről, barátságról, harcról és halálról, s nem utolsó sorban az írásról. S mikor nézzük őt a színpadon, s elnevetjük magunkat, azt érezzük, nem egy tankönyv ízű merev alakon nevetünk, nem egy szobor áll előttünk, hanem a haverunk valahonnét a suliból vagy épp az utcából, a szomszéd házból vagy egy fesztiválról.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes.
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
