Mi történik, ha ez a bűnözőnek éppen kapóra jön, mert egyébként pszichiáterre van szüksége? Mi történik, ha az orvos nem akarja elvállalni, de aztán mégsincs más választása? Mi történik, ha az egész helyzetről a pszichiáter leendő felesége semmit sem tud? Mi történik, ha egy friss férjet “hazaszállítanak” akarata ellenére a nászútjàról, mert befolyásos páciensének éppen szüksége van rá? Mi történik, ha a bűnöző már azt látja gyógyulása biztos módjának, ha oda is költözik az orvosához? Akkor jó esetben - nagy kínkeservek árán ugyan -, de a pszichiáter és a bűnöző életre szóló barátságot köt…
