„Hogy a Mezőségen is lehet erdőt növelni, hogy verőfényes oldalai pompás bort teremnek… hogy szorgalommal és munkássággal itt is jóllétet lehet előidézni: azt fényesen tanusitja éppen a Mezőségnek székelyek által lakott, Marosszékhez tartozó része” – írta Orbán Balázs a Székelyföld leírása című könyvében (Pest, 1868).
A Székely-Mezőség a Marosi-Mezőségbe nyugatra benyúló dombvidék néprajzi tájmegjelölése. A Corvinus Közgáz Néptáncegyüttes két falu táncos hagyományait, szokásait és dallamkincsét mutatja be a mezőpaniti és mezőmadarasi hagyományőrzőkkel közös műsor keretében.
