Mozart Szöktetés a szerájból című töretlen sikerű daljátékának nyitánya indítja a Győri Filharmonikus Zenekar a Zene világnapját ünneplő hangversenyét, mely után Dohnányi Ernő több változatban is népszerűvé vált alkotása, az 1924-ben bemutatott, magyar népdalok szellemes feldolgozásait ciklusba rendező Ruralia Hungarica hangzik el.
Az est második felében Csajkovszkij 1888-ben írott beethoveni hangütésű, a monotematikus szerkesztés mesteri alkalmazásával a négy tételt egységbe forrasztó 5. szimfóniája csendül fel a Győri Filharmonikus Zenekar előadásában, Berkes Kálmán művészeti vezető dirigálásával.

Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
