Még kilenc óra sincs, előbb együnk valamit...> Mire ő: <Nem ma estére vonulok vissza. Visszavonulok arra az időre, ami még megmaradt az életemből.>...Erre fejébe húzta a kalapját, kisétafikált a színházból...”
Az amerikai kabaré hőskorában játszódó történetben két visszavonult színészt, a Napsugár fiúkat váratlanul egy nagy tévécsatorna kér fel szereplésre, a visszatérés lehetőségével. Az egyikük menne, a másik nem... Tizenegy éve nem találkoztak...
