A dramaturgia tartozik a világnak egy vérbeli színpadra alkalmazással. Ihlető mozzanatokban bővelkedő regény, a rendezői tévelygés melegágya. Lehet a címszereplő Mester egoista-depressziós félzseni, s a Krisztust halálra ítélni kényszerülő Pilátus gyáva kukac. Rusznyák Gábor figyelmes olvasó, mindenkit a szerző kijelölte helyzetben szerepeltet. Az ernyedékeny Mester Bulgakov, az emberiséget a saját gyarlóságával szembesíteni merész és erős Woland pedig az író éneszménye. Mire a pécsi néző elé kerül, eséllyel lehet gondolkodásba sodró tempójú, pörgő ritmusú az előadás. (Balogh Tibor dramaturg, kritikus)
