A Richter János-bérlet záró hangversenyének műsorán a szimfonikus zenekari repertoár két nagyszabású remeke csendül fel: elsőként Bartók Béla ritkán hallható, öt tételes I. zenekari szvitje hangzik el, a fiatal zeneszerző egyik emblematikus darabja. Az 1905-ben bemutatott kompozíció a zenei romantika egyik kései hajtásaként a Liszttől és Erkeltől örökölt verbunkos stílusban íródott, amelytől a magyar és közép-európai népzene intenzív kutatását éppen ebben az időben elkezdő mester utóbb teljesen elfordult. A koncert második felében a német romantika egyik legköltőibb, mély érzelmekben és gyönyörű dallamokban gazdag szimfonikus alkotását, Brahms III. szimfóniáját játssza a Győri Filharmonikus Zenekar, Berkes Kálmán vezényletével.
