Ezúttal Rachmaninov II. zongoraversenyének szólistája lesz: a népszerű és oly igényes versenymű épp ilyen energikus és páratlan technikai tudású előadók számára készült 1900-1901-ben, elvégre a szólót Rachmaninov a saját képességeihez szabta.
Egy kis semmiség – ezt aztán igazán senki sem mondhatná Buniatishvili vállalkozására, annál inkább a nyitószámra, hiszen magyarul éppen ez Bernd Alois Zimmermann 1964-es ornitológiai kompozíciójának a címe. A holdfénynek is kitüntetett szerepet szánó kamarazenekari mű hét rövid tételből áll, s egy boogie-woogie-val zárul. Richard Strauss Divertimentója ugyancsak kamarazenekari apparátust igényel, azonban hét helyett nyolc tételből áll, s ezek mindegyike François Couperin csembalóműveinek motívumait gondolja tovább, a Straussnál majdnem kétszáz évvel korábban született francia barokk mester előtt tisztelegve.
