A Győri Filharmonikus Zenekar soproni bérleti hangversenyének műsorát a 20. század zenéjének egyik legragyogóbb remekműve, a Zene húros hangszerekre, ütőkre és cselesztára indítja, amelynek megalkotására a Bázeli Kamarazenekar vezetője, Paul Sacher kérte fel Bartókot. A négy tételes darab vitán felül a mester egyik kulcsműve: a nyitótétel „barokk” fúgájától a gyors tételek szilaj magyar tematikáján át a harmadik tétel varázslatos „Éjszaka zenéjéig” a bartóki univerzum minden fontos szegletébe bepillantást enged. A második félidőben Antonin Dvořák a kortárs és jó barát, Johannes Brahms erőteljes hatásáról árulkodó, a londoni Filharmóniai Társaság számára készült, 1885-ben bemutatott VII. szimfóniáját hallhatja a közönség, amelynek patetikus, drámai zenéje a Szláv táncok és az Új világból-szimfónia szerzőjének kevésbé ismert arcát mutatja meg. A hangversenyt a rövid idő alatt üstökösszerű karriert befutó fiatal magyar dirigens, a Győri Filharmonikusok egykori vezető karmestere, Rajna Martin vezényli.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
