Weiner 1923-as, romantikus-pasztorális, s második tételében igen eleven hangvételű Concertinója és Dohnányi pompás stílustörténeti paródiák sorát kínáló, 1914-es Gyermekdal-variációi szólalnak majd meg ugyanis, a Dohnányi-mű ajánlásának megfogalmazását idézve: "a humor barátainak örömére, ellenségeinek bosszantására". A szólista Várjon Dénes lesz, akinek a játékában a művészi elmélyültség remekül összefér az egészséges humorérzékkel. Akárcsak Keller András esetében, aki a koncert második felében mindezt Brahms nevezetes zongoranégyesével is igazolja majd. Az 1861-es kamaradarabból Schönberg 1937-ben készített nagyzenekari átiratot, a híres magyaros zárótételben (Rondo alla Zingarese) xilofonnal és katonazenekaros paródiával is nagystílűen élve.

Brahms-Schönberg: Zongoranégyes, g-moll, op.25
