Az elmúlt négyszáz év legviccesebb musicaljének tartott Valami bűzlik (Something Rotten) a XVI. századi Anglia színes forgatagába kalauzolja el a nézőt. Főhősei, Ben és Kenny Shaggem kétségbeesetten próbálnak kitörni „A nagy író” néven ismert, reneszánsz rocksztár, Shakespeare árnyékából. Vajon sikerül nekik a lehetetlennek látszó küldetés?

As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
