A „Kilencedik ecloga" című előadás Radnóti Miklós és Gyarmati Fanni valamint a kortársak levelezései és emlékiratai alapján készült színpadi játék. Jelenetek egy költő életéből, amelyek vagy így történtek, vagy másképp, eredményük a maradandó mű, ami kibukik a tollból és elkísér a poklok poklai felé.
És nem csupán a költőről van szó. Egy emberről, aki „oly korban élt e földön", aki egy zavaros időszakban a helyét keresi, bizonyítva magának és a környezetnek saját létét egészen addig, amíg a történelem át nem csap a feje felett. Elveszíti sorsa irányítását és csak a remény az, ami megmentheti őt a teljes pusztulástól, de az sem segít, csak a vers, ami örökéletűvé teszi lelkét, emberségét és művészetét. Ebből a küzdelemből örök alkotások születtek, melyeknek üzenete érvényes a mai napig.

For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
