Tündérország nagy hatalmú ura férjhez akarja adni gyönyörű lányát Aragónia királyához,de a csintalan hercegnő elszökik a palotából.
A tündérek ősi ellensége Mirtil a boszorkány manóvá változtatja a gyönyörű tündérkisasszonyt,aki így járja tovább a vidéket, s a gyerekek segítségével megismeri a manók világát. Találkozik a jóképű királyfival is,aki eltűnt tündérmenyasszonyát kereste de Mirtil őt is átváltoztatta manóvá.
A mese végén jóra fordul minden, a jó elnyeri méltó jutalmát és a világraszóló tündérmenyegzőn minden gyerek részt vehet.
