Kik is azok a tündék és koboldok? Hol élnek, hogyan születnek?
Virágok kelyhében jönnek a világra
S mikor a virág a szirmait kitárja
Kipattan belőle egy kobold, egy tünde
Az egyik csodaszép, a másik oly fürge!
És most miért olyan izgatottak? Csak nem bálra készülnek?
Az ám! A tündebál! Minden év tavaszán
Old Kobold s Rubinka otthona hazavár
Messzejáró tündét, vándorló koboldot
Sarkáig kitárják a vendéglőt, a boltot
Így van ez, mióta világ a világ, s a varázsszekrény most is éppen úgy füstöl, morog, szikrázik, mint minden évben ruhaújítás napján... De jaj, ma hívatlan vendég is érkezik a Tündebálba... Vajon mi a szándéka?
Ne féljetek: amíg tündét s koboldot láttok, nagy baj nem lehet!

Giacomo Puccini TURANDOT Opera in three acts, two parts in Italian, with Hungarian, English, and Italian subtitles
While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
