Kakuk Marci állástalan külvárosi tekergő. A nők kedvence. Pénze, állása, lakása nincs, egyik napról a másikra tengődik, egyik ágyból a másikba kerül. És mégis, belső jókedve és szabadsága révén mindig talpra áll. Ehhez persze némi szerencse is szükségeltetik...
Marci a szélhámosságok bonyodalmaiban, a szoknyavadászás izgalmai között találkozik az igaz szerelemmel is, de az végül pénzesebb helyre pártol tőle. Marad számára továbbra is a szabadság a kerek világban és mindig mások fészke , ahonnan éppúgy kiröpítik, mint eddig.
