A színmű – akár mozifilmről is ismerős lehet – a francia szimbolizmus két nagy alakja, Arthur Rimbaud és Paul Verlaine, kapcsolatának metszete.
„– Olyan boldogok lehetnénk mi ketten, ez a legkönnyebb dolog a világon, hát mért nem az?
–Nekünk ez sose jött össze, és nem is fog, egyikünknek se.”
Az, hogy ez a párbeszéd egy férfi és egy nő vagy éppen két férfi között zajlik, olyan mindegy. Hogy ez Verlaine és Rimbaud között hangzott-e el, olyan mindegy. Emberek: éreznek, szeretnek, hazudnak, becsapnak, szenvednek. Mint mi, mindannyian.

While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
