A Duncan Sheik énekes-zeneszerző és Steven Sater szövegíró által jegyzett, egyszerre élénk és provokatív Tavaszébredés a fiatalok felnőtté válásának problémáiról szól: az első szerelem, az elfojtott érzelmek, a maradandó sebek kérdéskörét boncolgatja. Sheik és Sater dalai nagyszerűen világítanak rá a kamaszkori problémákra, az illékony ifjúságra, a heves fiatalkori szerelmekre, s a lázongó,megalkuvást nem tűrő kapcsolatra a felnőttek világával.
