Nap-ösvényre kormot tereget,
Kushadók felett gördül előre,
Senki se próbál kitérni előle.
Szerelmem és én csak bámulunk,
És e véres talányon ámulunk.
„Jertek ti is!” kiáltoz minden ember,
„Korunk történelme e henger!”
Szerelmem és én inkább menekszünk
Oda, hol hengertől nem kell remegnünk,
Magas hegyekbe költözünk mi föl
Messze a Kor eseményeitől.
Tán maradjunk ott, halni a többivel?
Nem, nekünk kettőnknek élni kell!
Lám vége már! – Nézzük sápadtan, reszketeg
A gőzhengertől széttiport testeket.”

Our offer
Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
