Jól ismerjük az elegáns és briliáns vígjátékok, vagy a Pál utcai fiúk szerzőjét, de nem igazán ismerjük azt a szenvedélyes hangú, tisztán látó publicistát, aki a világhírű darabok hátterében, estéről-estére, magányosan, egy kávéházi asztal mellett, egyéni hangvételű cikkekben írta meg, mondta el véleményét a körülötte lévő világról, a felnövő világvárosról, Pestről, közéleti visszásságokról, a társadalmi egyenlőtlenségekről, mindent átszövő hazugságokról. Színjátékírói íráskészsége, szellemessége, humora és éleslátása ezekre az írásokra is nagyon jellemző, de ezeket természetesen nem színpadra szánta, bár megjelentek nyomtatásban, tulajdonképpen a nagyközönség számára ismeretlenek.
Közönségünk egy olyan egyszemélyes színházi estet láthat, ami tudatosan egymás mellett megidézi a "színházi" írót és a "kávéházi", ismeretlen arcát, nem színpadra szánt szövegein keresztül. Az estet 3 fős zenekar kíséri, az elhangzó zenék Fesztbaum Béla szerzeményei.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
