Guests of the Orfeum may be part of an incomparable experience during this evening of jazz. As always, Andrea Szulak—along with Elemer Balazs and Bela Szakcsi Lakatos, Jr.—captures her audience with dedication, humility and professionalism through songs from her latest album entitled Loving Until You Get Crazy. Nevertheless, she has no intention to compete with the greats of Hungarian jazz, while leaving the baton to fresh legs of contemporary Hungarian pop music.

Loving Until You Get Crazy is the living manifestation of the wonderful harmony and brilliant interaction of six outstanding, consistent musicians.

Andrea Szulak is an entertainer with a natural and direct communication. Humbly considering herself as only one element of the production, the sixth instrument to be exact, she feels honored that the “boys” took her in. As if old friends came together for a reunion filled with music and stories, whilst melodies pleasing to the Hungarian heart and ear float across the room in a jazzy robe.

On the peak of freedom, a jam session by first class musicians unravels on the stage. It’s a sweet journey along the path of the stars of Hungarian music, a tribute to Apostol, Zsuzsa Cserhati, Katalin Karady, Kati Kovacs, Peter Mate, Eva Mikes, Eva Ruttkai, Pal Szecsi, Klari Tolnay and Sarolta Zalatnay.
