Igazi bulira készülnek a musical szereplői, akik a hetvenes évek egy forró júliusi napján “önkéntesen” utaznak a jugoszláv határnál lévő Bácsszentmáriára, építőtáborba. Persze, korán kelnek, sőt még reggeli torna is van, meg munka a paradicsom-feldolgozóban, de leginkább szórakozni akarnak, táncolni-énekelni, egymást ugratni, s megtalálni a szerelmet..

Kétszázhúsz felett, Santa Maria, Don Quijote, Pago Pago, Ha szombat este táncol, Tini-dal, Holnap hajnalig, Vándorének.
Ugye mindenkinek ismerősek ezek a slágerek? A hetvenes-nyolcvanas-kilencvenes évek sikerzenekara, a Neoton dalairól van szó, melyek nagyszerű alapul szolgálnak a Szép nyári nap – a Neoton musicalhez.

A tábor vezetője, Tóth Antal, s helyettese, Panni néni, az orosztanárnő, ébren figyeli őket. Utóbbi nehéz helyzetbe kerül, mert lánya beleszeret a frissen érettségizett, szociológusnak készülő Varga Péterbe, akinek édesapja ’56 után disszidált, s aki maga is renitens fiatalnak tűnik…

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes. The piano afternoons and matinees are for them, about them, and inspired by them.
