A 2025-ös esztendőben ifj. Johann Strauss-ra emlékezik a zenei világ: a Strauss-család legjelentősebb alakja, Bécs felülmúlhatatlanul gazdag zenetörténetének egyik legmeghatározóbb muzsikusa, az emberiséget megannyi szívhez szóló melódiával megajándékozó „keringőkirály” 200 éve született. A Győri Filharmonikus Zenekar mosonmagyaróvári koncertjének műsora egyszerre tiszteleg a mester bicentenáriuma előtt, és a császárváros varázslatos zenei miliőjét felidézve kínál a kortársak és az utódok, Josef Strauss, Gounod és a nagy hegedűs, a 150 éve született Fritz Kreisler műveivel tartalmas szórakozást a zenebarátoknak. Az est sztárvendégei a 2024-es genfi énekverseny győztese, a kivételes tehetségű szoprán, Nathalie Peña Comas és a nemzetközi hírű hegedűvirtuóz, Mario Hossen lesznek, a zenekart állandó vendégművésze, Martin Sieghart dirigálja.

Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
