Egy Nyílt tengeren sodródik korunk három yuppie hőse. Öltözetük makulátlan, felszereltségük 21. századi. Épp csak enniük nincs mit, de röpke egy óra leforgása alatt, a demokrácia és a parlamentarizmus minden lehető eszközét megragadva ezen a problémán is úrrá lesznek.
Miként megoldást talál Nagyapa is, aki Károlyt kutatván a szemorvos szemüvegét elragadva, most már mindenkiben Károlyára, értsd: potenciális áldozatára lel, engedelmeskedvén belülről jövő ősi parancsának: A nagyapának lőnie kell.

This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
