Vidám, zenés időutazás a 80-as évek világába, ahol ismét betupírozhatjuk a hajunkat, elmerülhetünk a sárvári termálkristály habjaiban egy pohár Traubit kortyolgatva, és ismét ovisok, kisdobosok, vagy iskolai discoban lassúzó szerelmes tinik lehetünk, válltöméses selyemblúzban... Egy olyan generáció vagyunk, akik tejbegrízt ebédeltünk a menzán, és szagos radírt rágcsáltunk a suliban. Mi még tudjuk, milyen az, amikor a magnóban szakad a szalag és ha elakadt, visszatekertük ceruzával. Emlékszünk a nyarakra, amikor mezítláb szaladgáltunk a betonon, és a slágerlista minden dalát kívülről fújtuk. Ez az előadás nekünk szól, rólunk.

This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
