Minden arany, ami fénylik? Mennyi titok lappanghat életünkben? Mennyire vagyunk őszinték önmagunkhoz? Két sikeres, jómódú és látszólag boldog házaspár egy feledhetetlen estéje tárul elénk. A két nővér és a két férj születésnapi vacsorára készül, amiből persze nem lesz semmi.
Az események előrehaladtával kibontakozik a szereplők valódi személyisége, mindenki kiteregeti a saját és a másik szennyesét. Páratlan helyzetkomikumok, abszurd félreértések, pattanásig feszült idegek. Ez a skót mámor, és benne a szindrómások.
