Janne Teller regénye nem tartozik a könnyű témájú darabok közé.
Egy kamasz, Pierre Anthon felül egy szilvafára, és miközben galád módon dobálja, köpködi és riogatja osztálytársait az iskolába vezető úton, elültet egy gondolatot a fejükben. Mind közül talán ez a legveszélyesebb és leginkább végzetes cselekedete a regényben, még akkor is, ha Janne Teller dán írónő valóban fordulatosra szabta eredetiben 2010-ben, magyarul egy évvel később megjelent kamaszregényét, amelynek címe egyszerűen csak annyi, hogy Semmi. A Semmi nem pusztán egy történet, vagyis történetként nagyon egyszerű. Valódi tartalommal az tölti meg, ahogyan mi értelmezzük – ez teszi annyira veszélyessé, mint Pierre Anthon szavait a történetben szereplő gyerekek értelmezése.
