Hogyan lehet egy előadást a megszokott időbeli, térbeli tagoltságból és hierarchiából kibillenteni? Nem tudjuk, de próbálkozunk. A 0. lépéstől a bemutatóig mindent közösen terveztünk. Terveztük és nem sikerült, elképzeltük és más lett. Nem rossz, csak nem olyan. Tranzitzónában emésztetjük a valóságunk és tervezgetjük a fényes jövőt.

„…kicselezem a halált, sok ember egyenes háttal esik a földre. Egy szigorú rendezőlány odajön hozzám, és mondja, hogy nehogy közbe merjek avatkozni. Az emberek még mindig egyenes háttal zuhannak hátra. Aztán nézzük tovább az előadást, az öcsém átkarol. Egy kövér bácsi kitakarja az egészet. Annyit látni belőle, hogy emberek szenvedélyesen német szavakat suttognak kifelé, az idősebb barátaim már biztos a kompon vannak a Dunán, de lehet, ez már évekkel ezelőtt történt, csak ennyire elkéstem. Sz. már elég öreg, ilyen kellemetlenül barna és a haja sárgás és nagy anekdotákat mond arról, hogy úgy kell beszélni a színpadon, ahogy terjed a hang a Balatonban amikor köveket dobunk, és így üti az öklével a vonatot, és azon
gondolkozom, hogy ezt már mesélte…”

Our offer
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
