Jef a párizsi utcákon talált menedéket. A járókelők jól ismerték az öreg harmonikást. A nagyvárosi élet azonban elszaladt mellette és állva hagyta, háttérbe szorította őt. Csak a sanzonokban állt meg az idő. Mert a sanzon örök. A zene – közvetlenségével – életre kelti a múltat, a francia dal fénylő állócsillagi visszahozzák az elfeledett figurákat, régmúltunk érzéseit a Rózsaszínházba.
