Egy 68 éves New York-i ügyvéd és egy 37 éves brooklyni írónő keresi a kivezető utat Dante sötétlő erdejéből. Julian Epstein a szüleit és a házasságát gyászolja. Élete alkonyán úgy dönt, megszabadul tekintélyes vagyonától, és Izraelbe utazik, hogy méltó módon emlékezzen meg a szüleiről. Tel-Avivban találkozik egy titokzatos amerikai rabbival, aki Dávid király leszármazottainak szervez találkozót, és azt állítja, Epstein is a vérvonal részese. Nicole az ihlethiány, az álmatlanság és a nyughatatlanság elől a tel-avivi Hiltonba menekül, ahol gyerekkora óta számtalanszor megfordult. Azt reméli, az otthonos környezet beindítja majd a fantáziáját, ám egy furcsa öregúr kihagyhatatlan ajánlatot tesz neki: azt szeretné, ha újraírná Franz Kafka utolsó éveit.

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances.
This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
