Recirquel Budapest: IMA
The performance is not recommended for audiences under the age of 12.
Recirquel Budapest, which has become one of the world's leading contemporary circus companies, was founded by director and choreographer Bence Vági in 2012. Their performances fusing contemporary circus, dance and theatre, have captivated audiences both in Hungary and abroad.
The company's new cirque danse production is an immersive theatrical experience that transports the viewer from the physical reality of earthly existence. The installation, which evokes the depth of the universe, invites you on a journey inside: in the pulsating space brought to life by the light emanating from millions of points, the Spirit, leaving behind the Ego, embarks on its own path. Escaping the noise of the present, in the solitude of the universe, torn out of time and space, it hears the voice of its own essence.

Our offer
For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
