Jean Poiret és Georges Lautner forgatókönyvéből készült 1984-ben a francia filmgyártás egyik legnagyobb sikere Sophie Marceau és Jean-Paul Belmondo főszereplésével. A történetben Stéphane Margelle iparmágnás Párizsban él szép feleségével Sophie-val. Casanova életmódot folytat: nincs nő, aki ellen tudna állni a sármos férfinak.
Minden rendben is megy addig a napig, amíg feleségét ki nem viszi a repülőtérre és a búcsúzás után bele nem botlik egy 18 éves lányba. Stéphane elviszi a lányt a szokott helyekre: étterembe, éjszakai bárba és végül a lakásába. Ám ekkor kitör a botrány: felesége gépét törölték és amikor hazajön, férjét a fiatal lánnyal találja. Szorult helyzetében Stéphane azt hazudja: a látszat csal, akit felesége lát, az nem más, mint az ő lánya...
