"A Parasztoperában egy balladisztikus történetet dolgoztunk fel opera formában. Zenéjének alapja az erdélyi magyar népdalok, a barokk és a rock bizarr, mégis homogén elegye.
A történet talán sokak számára ismerős lesz. Nekem a nagymamám úgy mesélte, hogy Szabadszállás környéki emberekkel történt ez meg nagyon régen. Bocsássák meg nekem, ha egyelőre csak annyit árulok el belőle, hogy lesz benne néhány boldogtalan sorsú ember, szenvedély, humor, vérfertőzés és gyilkosság.

The World of Ballet Remembers a Hungarian Legend 2014 saw the sudden passing of the international ballet artist and ballet director Iván Nagy. After his retirement, he had returned to serve his country by working as head artistic consultant for the Hungarian State Opera.
