Based on Carlo Collodi's The Adventures of Pinocchio by Albert Benedek, Tamás Keresztes and Krisztina Kovács

The Adventures of Pinocchio is one of the most translated and best-selling works of fiction in the world. Hundreds of film and theatre adaptations exist, not to mention comic books, slideshows and shorts. You might think that everyone knows the story of one of the world's most famous little boys, or more precisely, of one of the world's most famous wooden boys, but the truth is that Carlo Collodi's novel, published in 1883, is read by few people today. Everyone relies on adaptations, even though the original tale is incredibly entertaining, twisty, humorous and, in places, a little scary. By today's standards, Collodi's guiding Pinocchio through his hair-raising adventures in a surprisingly brave and modern way.

The new comic version now in production will try to preserve and showcase as much of the original story's wild imagination, playfulness and humor as possible, while also offering some surprises for the true Pinocchio connoisseurs...
