A híd, ami Brooklynban van, és ahonnan lepillantva az olasz negyed látható. Az előadás a határokról szól. Az utolsó pillanatokról, amikor már átkelünk, de még a hídon vagyunk, és még visszanézhetünk. A rosszon még innen, de a helyesen már túli pillanatokról. Azokról a pillanatokról az átkelés közben, ahol még meg lehet állni, vissza lehet pillantani, netán vissza is fordulni. Végig ott feszül a kérdés: tényleg, vissza lehet-e innen még fordulni? Vagy még innen? … Esetleg innen…? Honnantól válik véglegessé az átkelés? Netán van olyan szenvedély, ami olyan erõs, hogy nincs az a hatalom, az a tudás, az a bölcsesség, ami visszafordíthatná, aki e szenvedély útját járja? Tudatosítsuk magunkban, hogy hol is van a jó és a rossz között a határ. Ám pillantsunk vissza a hídról mindenképpen.

The tale of Leander the goblin and Princess Linseed, brimming with magic and a seemingly unbreakable curse, not to mention a wealth of twists and turns, is a genuinely good yarn. Set to a libretto by Barnabás Szöllősi that is based on Andor Szilágyi's fable for the theatre and written at the OPERA's request in the 2014/15 season, Erkel Prize-winning composer Zsófia Tallér's masterful, expressive and entertaining music makes this Hungarian fairy tale opera an enjoyable experience for children and adults alike, and, we hope, a possible future classic.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
