Kellemes családi-baráti vacsora egy párizsi lakás nappalijában. A házigazda tanár házaspár, Pierre és Élisabeth, az asszony luxusingatlan-ügynök bátyja, Vincent és annak bájos várandós felesége, Anne, valamint egy gyerekkori barát, a harsonás Claude. Vincent és Anne gyermeket várnak.
