Az előadáson olyan zenei alkotások szólalnak meg, amelyek a görög mitológia alakjait – például a varázslatos énekével és hangszerjátékával a halált is legyőző Orfeuszt – jelenítik meg. Bár a sorozat törzsközönsége megszokhatta a hangversenyek gazdag képi illusztrálását, ezúttal különleges vizuális élményben lesz része, Marosi Eszter építész, az MMA volt ösztöndíjasa, egy készülő, rendkívül inspiráló, nemcsak tudást adó, de alkotásra is serkentő komplex művészeti könyvsorozat alkotója gyönyörű tablóinak köszönhetően. A zenekart Ménesi Gergely vezényli.

Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
