Gáspár Károly zongorista a hazai jazz élet egyik meghatározó szereplője. Sokrétű zenei tevékenysége mellett a Karc FM szerkesztő-műsorvezetője, a JazzMa.hu kritikai rovatvezetője, és a Magyar Jazz Szövetség vezetőségi tagja.
Triójával saját kompozíciókat és jazz standard-eket egyaránt műsoron tartanak.

Zenéjükre jellemző, hogy friss és előremutató, romantikus és esztetizáló, ugyan akkor tiszteletben tartja a mainstream jazz hagyományait.
A hármasban Gáspár Károly partnerei: Horváth Balázs bőgős, és Varga Bendegúz dobos.
2017. februárjában jelent meg a trió első albuma, „The Outsider” címmel, a Hunnia Records gondozásában. A korongon nyolc Gáspár kompozíció mellett, egy Horváth Jenő dal, a „Ma este nem gondoltam rád” feldolgozása hallható.
Ugyan ebben az évben a JazzMa.hu olvasói szavazatai alapján „Az év lemeze”-díjat nyerte el a „The Outsider”. 2019-ben pedig Fonogram-díjra jelölték.
2019. márciusában, a Tom-Tom Records kiadásában látott napvilágot a Gáspár Károly Trió második albuma, „Salvation” („Megváltás”) címmel.
