Ezzel is megvalósítva Kodály Zoltán gondolatait, törekvéseit.

Pál István "Szalonna" és Bandája
A magyar népzenei élet közismert szereplői. Koncertjeiken megszólalnak a Kárpát-medence legszebb dallamai. Muzsikájuk szerte a világon hirdeti a magyar zene szépségét.

2013-ban megkapták a Magyar Örökség díjat. Pál István 2015-ben Liszt Ferenc-díjas, 2017-ben pedig a Magyar Állami Népi Együttes művészeti vezetője lett. 2019. március 12-én vehette át a Magyarország Érdemes Művésze-díjat.

Our offer
As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
