Az Óz, a nagy varázsló talán minden idők legszebb meséje arról, hogy néha egész életünkön át olyat keresünk, ami csupán egy karnyújtásnyira van tőlünk, és talán semmi egyéb nem kell ahhoz, hogy megtaláljuk, mint hinni önmagunkban. Dorothy és Totó álomszerű utazásukban csodálatos társakra akadnak: a Bádogember, a Madárijesztő és a Gyáva Oroszlán a meseirodalom legkedvesebb figurái; a sárga köves út és a smaragdváros pedig az életünk szimbolikus részei lettek. És azt is tudjuk, hogy bár hihetünk egy Ózban, csak mi vagyunk képesek segíteni önmagunkon, még akkor is, ha kalandjainkban olyan csodálatos segítőkre találhatunk, mint a Jó Boszorkány.
