A különleges előadásban háztartási eszközökkel mesélik el Odüsszeia történetét, a tésztaszűrőtől kezdve a dugóhúzón át a kelkáposztáig van itt minden, még színes papírba csomagolt bob-bon katonák is.
A jól ismert történetet azonban senki ne az eredeti szöveggel várja, itt modern, mai nyelven hallható Odüsszeusz hazaútjának története, az eposz néhány jellegzetes kalandjának kiemelésével. Az előadásban számtalan jellegzetes magyar asszociáció, vicc és dal hangzik el, mintha egyfajta Monty Python-átirata volna, tele humorral, nyelvi leleménnyel, szójátékkal.
Az előadás nem csak a felnőttek, hanem a nagyobb gyerekek számára is izgalmas kikapcsolódást ígér, igazi családi program!
Philippe Genty (sz:1938) a francia színházi élet legendás, több műfajt egyesítő alkotóinak egyike, rendező, koreográfus és bábművész, aki pályáját képzőművész-grafikusként kezdte, 1967-ben megalapította Compagnie Philippe Genty néven saját társulatát, amely eleinte főleg bábszínházi kísérletezéssel foglalkozott, de kezdettől fogva tágította a műfaji kereteket, és a vizualitás, a mozgás, a zene és a tárgy animáció ötvözésére.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
